1. Round Cut

The round cut engagement ring is the undisputed champion in the world of diamond shapes. Known for its classic and timeless appeal, the round cut diamond is characterized by its 57 or 58 facets, which maximize the stone’s brilliance and sparkle. This shape exudes elegance and is the go-to choice for those who prefer a traditional and sophisticated ring.

The round cut’s popularity is not just about aesthetics; it also offers the best light performance due to its symmetrical design. This makes it a stunning choice that captures and reflects light brilliantly.

The princess cut is a modern and popular choice for engagement rings. This square or rectangular-shaped diamond is known for its sharp corners and pointed edges, giving it a contemporary and edgy look. The princess cut is an excellent choice for those who desire a combination of traditional and modern elements.

Its sharp corners make it more susceptible to chipping, so it’s crucial to protect the stone with prongs or a bezel setting. When well-crafted, the princess cut engagement ring is a stunning choice that stands out with its unique charm.

I can’t lie, this is my favorite.

There are so many options. I think my least favorite is the marquise cut. The rounder stones seem more practical for everyday living. These rings are beautiful!

I’ve been married twice and both my rings had the traditional round cut diamond. I’m not planning a third marriage but who knows what could happen. But I’d probably choose another round cut.
