3 Super Easy Date Night Hairstyles For Busy Moms

You and your husband finally managed to get a babysitter and arrange a date night, but tending to the kids has left you with no time to do your hair or pick out an outfit. Sound familiar? It can be hard to find time for yourself when you have young children to put first, that’s why we have created a guide to the best quick and easy hairstyles perfect for date nights.

Whether you are off to a posh restaurant or for a night at the movies, these eye-catching hairstyles will look fabulous.

A High Bun

High buns are simple to do and look elegantly flawless, perfect for date night. All you need are two hair bands, some bobby pins, and a bun ring. Although a bun ring isn’t a necessity, it does give your bun a beautiful rounded shape, adding to the class of the style. If you are planning on using a bun ring, make sure you choose the correct color for your hair and the right size for the amount of hair.

Start by brushing your hair and pulling it into a high ponytail. Place the bun ring over the hairband that is holding the hair in place, and then twist the hair around the bun ring. Spread the hair out so that the entire bun ring is covered, and then use bobby pins to pull any stray pieces of hair into place. If your hair is fine, use a firm hold hairspray to ensure it stays in place.

Curled

Curling your hair is a pretty way of doing something different with it, without too much effort. Start with damp hair and add volumizer to it, distributing evenly through the hair. To curl your hair, you will need some hairspray, a comb and the best curling iron on the market.

Before you start curling, make sure that your parting is neat and in the right place. Then, once the curling iron is at peak temperature begin curling the hair. You may find it easier to work in layers, so tie the top half of the hair up and work on the bottom sections first and vice versa. This is my MUST DO anytime I am curling or straightening.  Take small sections of hair and wrap around the curling iron for a few seconds, and then release the iron and spray the curl with hairspray. Repeat this until the entire head has been curled.

Although you may be in a rush, take care not to burn your head or your hair!

The Side Ponytail

A side ponytail is perfect for when you literally have just a few minutes to spare. It may be simple, but if done correctly it can look just as sophisticated as a salon hair-do.

Start by running a brush through your hair, and then brush all your hair over to one side. Make sure that although your hair is to one side, your parting is still visible. Note that this look works best with a central parting. Once the hair is to one side, and you are happy with your parting, use a hair band to tie the hair in place. Then use a curling iron or hair tong to twist a few sections of hair from the ponytail into large curls or waves. Spritz your hair with hairspray to keep the curls in place.

These hairstyles may be super quick, but they won’t fail to disappoint.

I like a side ponytail. It keeps the hair off of my face yet it's a bit of a softer look than having it all pulled back.

It's always fun to dress up and have an evening out. Women and men both get too comfortable and a bit sloppy.

I really like the braid. I don't know if I'd be able to do that one. My hair is naturally curly so if anything, I just touch it up and use some hairspray.

I rarely do anything with my hair, other than run a comb through it. I should try one of these styles. It's better that getting a hair cut.

I like the top hairstyle. It doesn't look too easy though. I'm not very good when it comes to styling my hair. I usually just pull it back into a ponytail.

With the heat we've been having I wear a ponytail daily. I prefer the side ponytail. It's more of a casual look than the all pulled back look.
